" All dancers go through hell.." shut up how many black ballerinas do you see taking the stage in this world or just minorities in general. Our body types aren't good enough for the classical ballet world. I am a dancer but not a ballet dancer and probably cant spot ballet technique on stage. BUT SHE IS A GOOD DANCER its people like you, that become her motivation to do better....the haters on YouTube who point out all of the downfalls and instead of encouraging a fellow dancer and critique you criticize and some of you say "Oh I refuse to by her tickets" oh well more room for people who actually pay to see her. Copeland is the future of ballet. I've already had someone tell me that affirmative action is needed in ballet on a popular ballet forum. This will all keep up because no one will stand up against the full lie. You can see that she is not trained enough to hold her position. The ones pushing her KNOW THE SAME THING! If they were truly interested in talent and black representation in ballet, Courtney Lavine would have been the better choice to promote. Don't you think? So why isn't she? Why is she stuck in the Corps while Copeland flails around Swan Lake? Why doesn't the news celebrate Dance Theater of Harlem and their fabulous dancers? Ingrid Silva is my favorite. They don't because all these dancers show up Copeland as a huge lie and they can't have it. Again this is deliberate. |

It's always this way. Whenever a mixed or light-skinned black person is lauded as pretty, smart or talented, xoxo rushes to say that they're not really black but if the same person is caught robbing a liquor or something they're just a plain ole nigger. |
