If my wife made 300K and I made 200K how much instability would it cause?

On one hand, any $$$ disparity in favor of the woman strikes me as bad for the relationship.
On the other hand, when it's not so dramatic that one person could stop working (e.g. 300K to 50K), it's not as big of a deal. And a side bonus that it won't screw you in divorce. |

I don't think it should be a race to see who makes 1 more dollar and then it becomes a tyranny of the majority
60/40% of HHI is not the same as 80/20
I'm also hoping that 500K HHI, which is pretty good, is enough to satiate any demands; there'll always be a couple with 1MM HHI, and so on, but if we have more than enough, I hope it helps |

So potentially that's the pool of dudes she'd compare you against if her female peers are all married to ballers.
