I had to call on a mere suspicion because the dude responded every time I knocked on the door like it was no big deal. Cops broke open the door and there was blood everywhere and the dude was out of his mind. That was a normal thing at my first store. My store now, people have put needles inside of the seat protector container on multiple occasions and there’s constantly blood and fecal matter on the walls. My manager has literally made us clean it up every time and we don’t have access to the number for biohazard even though half the time someone has caveman drawings in their shit on the walls. I don’t wanna do it anymore. I shouldn’t have to. My baristas shouldn’t have to. And this is gonna make it a daily occurrence. So I’m stepping down from SSV and looking for another job in the meantime that’ll work with school.

Doing all kinds of crazy shit. Drugs, cutting themselves, beating off, and the list goes on. You have people with mental illness going in and breaking the mirror and destroying the restroom. You will have people complain about not being about to get into the bathroom. Just ask the people at the Starbucks on 3rd and Pike. They would tell you they don’t have a bathroom open at all because they had these problems.

I’m really not excited to see the outcome of this policy change at my store. Honestly, it’s more than the danger of needles in the trash every day. These people have gotten aggressive, and that poses a real, physical danger to our baristas, as well as the customers. I’m really not looking forward to that happening more often because of the mistakes of one store. |

This new policy will create such an unsafe situation for partners and customers. I used to work at a beach store in southern California - I cant tell you how many times I had to shut the restrooms down and wait for the bio-hazard clean up crew - and I had a coded lock on the door! Or pound on the door after a homeless person passed out in there - then having to call the police. And the old plumbing that would back up after heavy use and then sewage would flood the cafe. God help that store, and the so many stores just like it! |
