That's mid-career. It's after the median age of first marriage. It's about the time some enlisted soldiers are retiring. It's the time when virtually no private employer has any interest in helping you start over. Federal age discrimination protections kick in a 40.
If you aren't well on your way to making it in your early 30s, you'll likely never make it by working within private institutional structures. Just about your only hope will be to go into government or maek it on your own. |

After that, he did a brief stint as an actor (which he did as a child as well, appearing in commercials), today he runs a fairly profitable fitness company in [LA Beach community] that he founded. Married a TOAS type and has 3 kids and competes in [athletic] type competitions for fun. A great guy who showed a lot of character when his baseball career ended by battling through adversity and crushed dreams. I like him more today than I did in HS.
Overall HS: 6'7 offensive lineman with a solid trust fund, he's past 46 years old and still looking great. He's made a solid living as a [working in TV]. He owns a great house in the hills in [nice LA commmunity] that overlooks [something really nice]. He has slayed hundreds, if not thousands of beautiful women, has never married, and continues to spend his time plowing through perfect 10 after perfect 10. His two brothers have 7 kids between them, and he is the fun uncle who is always buying elaborate gifts for the kids and giving them rides on his Harley. [redacted] I've known him for 33 years, love him as a brother, but I'm not going to say that I like him, if that makes sense - he's a loner and very selfish. He's the kind of guy where if you go out looking for girls with him, he's go home with 3 and you with none. He has a funny way of putting everyone around him down, and in the three decades I've known him, I'm not sure he's ever said anything nice about me. Also, with the general 180ness of his life as well as his generous personality, it is hard to not feel jealous. I feel like I won the life lottery with how things worked out for me (sans Wife), but even I can have a hard time with jealousy when I'm around him.
