Meeting a STEM PhD chick tomorrow night (CharlesXII)

Tomorrow's prospect just finished a STEM PhD at a highly prestigious university. She likes cooking and reading, watches little television, and was highly intrigued by my 100-book quest. She also is Catholic though to what level of intensity I cannot tell.
Hopefully this one doesn't savagely cancel on me. |

not long after i moved to dc, i set up an online date with a chick who suggested starbucks in dupont circle. (as i've told you, i hate coffee dates and eventually wrote them off completely.)
anyway, it just so happened that we scheduled the date for sunday at 11 am, but it was the first day of "fall back" (going back to regular time from DST).
well, i get a text from her that morning saying she is there. the text is an hour early. i ask her if she forgot to set her clocks back. she replies, "oh no, i completely forgot about the overnight time change!" anyway, i tell her i'll metro over as soon as i can. she says she'll wait.
well, i was unfamiliar with dupont circle at that point, but i get off at the dupont station and head to the nearby starbucks. no sign of her. i walk around a couple of times. nothing. i text her, and it turns out there's another starbucks a few blocks in the other direction. i walk to that starbucks, but no sign of her there, either. i text her and she never responds, and i never hear from her again. i guess she got tired of waiting considering she got there an hour early based on her own mistake and couldn't tolerate my mistake re: which of two starbucks within several blocks that she was at. |
