The SAT is designed to be an IQ test. School look to grades to determine a kids consciousness and they look the the SAT to determine a kids IQ / aptitude.
Asians superstudy the SAT so much, their score is no longer a reflection of their IQ. If you don't account for their superstudying, you will end up admitting a bunch of 130I IQ Asians into Harvard who outscored a 150 IQ Jewish kid on the SAT. |

if we got rid of legacy bumps and advantages for prep school kids shit would look wildly different. kids from good prep schools have like a 10-15% chance of getting into H versus like under 3% for everyone else. that comes out to a 40% chance of getting into at least one of HYP for the prep school kid, which is insane. stanford doesn't have as much of that prep school bias. |

It's pretty obvious if a school is 25% Asian, and that shows up in published stats.
But if a school is 45% white, no stat would be published showing that 30 of those 45% are jews.
So Jews in admissions could get a ton of Jews in relative to non-Jewish whites without anyone explicitly knowing. |

They set aside a certain number of seats for black and hispanic students and they had their own admissions. It was explicit. The Supreme Court struck down that system but said you could have admissions that valued "diversity" and other soft factors other than test scores and grades.

it's not about picking which students deserve it more, its about gaming admissions criteria to have the racial quotas you want.
The fact that a good SAT score is not necessary for ANY black applicant and is necessary for almost every Asian applicant is racial discrimination by itself. |

It would be the first criteria to cull out dumbs, but using SAT/ACT as the sole criteria is a terrible idea.
I want some alpha jock chads walking around to balance things out. Confident leaders are just as important to society as neebish nerds. Perhaps moreso, although libs are trying to change that. I'd also want some smoking hot CGWBT types roaming around to remind everyone what is truly important in life.
Personally, I think we should just go back to quotas. Allow for slight over-representation among certain groups based on test scores. And yes, jewish people should have their own quota, just like everyone else. |
