Your whole beings are given over to shallow materialistic striving, unshadowed by human friendship or any sort of soulful or creative endeavor.
It's a miracle you were able to find each other, but there's no guarantee that your children will be so lucky. If they at all resemble their parents, they're almost certainly condemned to a grinding, isolated life as an unlubricated cog in someone else's machine; loneliness and misery is certain, and if they have the misfortune not to inherit your immense capacity for self-delusion, suicide is likely. And, let's be real, neither of you will be interested or capable of providing them with genuine nurturing affection - you're going to be blocking out forty minute chunks of 'kid time' on your Office calendar between conference calls, so heroin addiction is certainly on the table. And even before that point, how are you going to deal with a six year old acting out violently at school because at home he's competing for affection with your pitbull and whatever trivial corporate project you've fixed your whole sense of self-worth on that day? Dasha from Lviv isn't going to put up with that shit, she's going to go get herself knocked up by the first guy she finds selling watches on Neptune Ave.
And remember if by some miracle you produce actual functioning human children, they will inevitably hate and resent and rebel against you, since you'll be incapable of understanding or supporting any ambition or desire other than gray middle-class bourgeois corporate dronedom. How will you cope when your pink-and-green haired, gender-indeterminate child decides that, since you won't let zhir go to Oberlin, zher going to move to L.A. and work as a 'bartender' while taking acting classes during the day?
So please, for once, restrain your desire to act on your vulgar peer-competitive instincts and just don't procreate. Don't add to the needless human suffering in this world. |

everyone i know who had loser parents like this came out very weird. they don't know how to give kids a good, healthy, structured life. and it's clear they're only considering due to either family pressure or FOMO. |
