Frankfurt is a waste. Why even fly there? Lots to see in Germany depending on what you like. Berlin ofcourse. Dresden is pretty. Go see the castles if thats your thing. Munich has the car stuff.

because its the largest airport hub in germany? if you are flying to germany from US you have only two choices - Frankfurt and munich and frankfurt offers the best connections

Lufthansa has direct flights to Frankfurt from LAX. Don’t think they do to Munich. Berlin doesn’t have a real airport yet.
