They are flimsy and largely assume that Osteen’s listeners conflate his messages with religion and theology. But they don’t. In fact, at the end of each message, he specifically tells people to join a Bible based church and get involved. And I’ve already addressed this, as you know, and say he’s really more of an inspirational life coach who has made millions of people happier.

So this objection fails. I don’t consider him to be some absolute theologian authority. You’ll have to do better.

I think you were under the impression that Osteen brainwashes and extorts his listeners info donating substantial sums of money, and this is what provided him with his net worth. You had no idea that he NEVER asks for money and instead preaches positive messages for absolutely free. But you’re too proud to admit you’re wrong and had no idea what you were talking about.

Someone raised the point above that he's a positive force and not a charlatan. He can be both, and I would agree that he is, at least for a myopic definition of "positive force."

Naturally he makes rich people happier. He makes poor people miserable. He affects national policy by making people believe that if you're poor it's because you deserve it. And he degrades the Church.

He was a marketing major in college so this degree allowed him to waltz in and DOMINATE the legit churches, who all had sucked at marketing because apparently if you are actually religious, you have absolutely no ability to generate any demand for your services.
