Hypo: Soviets stay neutral during WWII

What would the U.S. casualties have been? Total casualties in Europe and North Africa was 300K, and 100K in the Pacific.

OTOH, the Germans’ head scientist based all their atomic bomb research on a faulty premise (some say deliberately) so maybe they never would have gotten the bomb, in which case I agree we would have nuked Germany. |

Though my guess is that the Germans would have thrown more money into jets. They’d have air superiority by 1944 or 45. US might have had a hard time nuking Germany
By 1947-48, US would be able to mass produce jets in larger quantities than Germany. Germany would have to surrender then, but probably would have gotten decent terms. |
