Also, we need to become a blue water Navy again focused on major fleet engagements at sea with a peer competitor. Battleships dont give us that.
We need a Frigate replacement, we need more destroyers, and we need to increase the standoff range of our carriers. Finally, we desperately need to develop our UAV and UUV capabilities to perform combat missions, not just ISR.
