Anyone who is intellectually honest and has a brain knows that this whole circus is just a political witch hunt. Ask yourself: would these charges have been brought against Manafort had he never been involved with the Trump campaign? The answer is unquestionably: NO!
So Flynn, Manafort, and anyone else who gets caught up in this disgraceful banana republic escapade can rest easy knowing that they will receive their pardon. And, as OP points out, Trump’s support correctly will not fall one iota. |

I get the idea that anyone wrapped up by Mueller was treated unfairly, but Manaforts crimes (if he's found guilty) were far more pervasive and predated the campaign by years. It makes sense to treat him differently.
But like JJC at his parents dry cleaning business, we'll have to see what unfolds. Frankly I'm surprised Flynn hasn't been pardoned yet. |

Once he is sentenced, I’d expect a pardon to follow in short order. Although, at this point, it would likely occur after the midterms.
And what you said about Manafort isn’t responsive enough to what I said. It doesn’t matter that his conduct predated the campaign. The ONLY reason he was charged is because he worked for Trump. Nothing else matters, that tremendously pisses Trump off, and it is why I 100% guarantee he will pardon Manafort if necessary. |
