I just found out I have blood right citizenship to an EU country

Should I apply for dual citizenship? Is there any downside? For whatever it’s worth my family owns a tremendous amount of real estate in said country this could be beneficial down the road. |

I’m not an elected official but I am I am in a management position on a county executive committee in a powerful county and within 5-7 years may very well be county leader. If that were to happen I would have to go through an inter party election that would be done at the primary polls. It’s not public and the salary/stipend isn’t enough to raise claims of malfeasance (match up to $125k).
If it really came down to it I’d renounce but this is something to think about and consult the elders on. |
