My parents are ridiculously conservative and I was super liberal from like 12-20. The only thing you can teach them early on is money management and see how they like the govt taking their investment gains. They might still be liberal for a bit but they will prob turn conservative at some point as long as they understand personal responsibility and see how lazy most people are.

I went to a high school with a LGBT club in be 90s, which was a pretty big deal so I was around rabid liberals most of my life. Best to let them figure shit out on their own.

But bottom line, there’s not much you can do to actually control your kids’ political views and you shouldn’t expect them to adopt your views, esp as they become teenagers and will be much more heavily influenced by others. You can show them your values by setting yourself as the example of how you want to live, but they have to find their own way. I just trust that my children are smart enough to figure it out eventually.
