If, as you say, they don't cover "weaknesses or contradictions of the left" whatever that means, and they spend time on "foreign irrelevancies" --how is any of that being "extremely shallow in coverage"?

I think the problem is that adequate journalism on complex and convoluted issues is, by its nature, cognitively taxing, which turns people off completely below a certain IQ threshold. And then it's easy to say you don't like NPR because of "bias" or for some other reason when in reality, it's just intellectually fatiguing.
