Seattle's land vibrates like Vancouver a strange kind if healthy energy, Portland feels like an ancient cemetary where something profane happened or like death itself lives underground there, like certain parts of California where one gets the vibe that the land was exhausted cruely by man in the sixties or decades ago and has no more life to give.
