I'm probably bias because I grew up in Woodland Hills and live here. But here you go:
1. Woodland Hills is about 30% cheaper than Encino or Sherman Oaks. So you can buy a much nicer home.
2. Woodland Hills has much better potential to increase in price over the next 10 years. They are building a huge development with an event center, outdoor shopping center, and some high end restaurants. They have already put in the Westfield Village (https://www.westfield.com/topanga/stores/all-stores/the-village) which is basically like the grove. They are also doing a 70 million dollar renovation on the Westfield Topanga Mall (https://www.dailynews.com/2018/09/18/70-million-renovation-coming-to-westfield-topanga-mall/). Woodland Hills also has a ton of great restaurants already (Mortons, Ruths Chris, Larsons, etc). It also has the best shopping in the valley since the Westfield Topanga has every high end store. The malls are the best in Los Angeles.
3. Although Canoga Park has a lot of apartments, Woodland Hills and West Hills are pretty much all houses. So most of the people who live in the city are middle class or upper class. Encino kind of and for sure Sherman Oaks has a lot of low income residents. If you just look at Ventura blvd in Sherman Oaks there are tons of homeless people and weird poor people.
4. Less traffic and parking problems. Less congested.
5. Much better schools (El Camino is probably the best high school in LAUSD).
6. Woodland Hills is right over the hill from the beach and Malibu. I can get to Malibu in 20 minutes to have lunch with my family and then come back.
There are a ton more things but I'm bored of writing this now. I'll tell you whatever else you want to know though.
