The only proof I have is that when I posted in 2000, I had a modem and would have 5 pr boards open that were all refreshing at the same time (it took about 2 minutes to refresh, maybe a little less).

18 years. i guess i can prove it by recalling bits of PR lore and trivia that a fraud wouldn't know. for example, back in 2000, there weren't fixed usernames. there was a field for a username that you could enter manually; otherwise the post went through as "Anonymous." there was no mechanism to stop users from imitating each other, though this was technically a violation of board rules against harassment or something.
i was there in early 2001 when fixed width bandit broke the board by posting a long text "scream" in hundreds of threads. at the time, the text box didn't automatically break lengthy character strings, and you'd end up with extremely long side-scroll page displays.

Anyone remember the LR question on job training, think it was number 4 on my first LR, and what the correct answer was? i think it was an explain the paradox question about why there was a spike in training accidents or something immediately after the new job training program had been implemented.
Normally this would be really easy but for some reason I couldnt figure out a reasonable answer. I ended up putting "another study shows different results" which I'm sure cannot be right... anyone remember the right anwer?

I am pretty sure the answer is something about hiring more people at the same time.
In other words, the percentage of people involved in accidents went down (because of the training), but the number of people involved increased because more people were on the job.

I agree with you all about the answer being the one about hiring more people. As for other choices, I remember one being that the company only does safety training after a high incident of accidents or something to that effect.

i put that they start being serious about safety only after a spike in accidents ... if there was no spike, this can explain why they weren't serious, even if they were trained. does this ring a bell for anyone?

I'm with you on that one. It was A, right? That almost tripped me up because at first I was confusing the "earlier criticism" with one of the main ones he was talking about. But then I straightened myself out and realized that the two were both modern and explained individually in paragraphs two and three.
EDIT: I don't know what I'm thinking. The answer I put down basically said that they both talked bad about it. I don't think that's the same one you're talking about.
