They might not be extremely dumb. They might just not think about the issues.

Let me ask you this: are you dissatisfied with your live sports entertainment bundle? The answer is very likely no.

i am totally dissatisfied.

pay for basic cable + high speed internet. don't get ESPNU, for one thing as a prominent example.

pre conference play basketball i have to illegallyy stream about half of the games cuz the games are on espnu or some bullshit network.

it's 180 man and pretty cheap. Tons of good shows on there (which is the more important "a la carte" trend: individual shows from many networks all combined under one streaming service). It's Always Sunny, Peep Show, Fargo, South Park, just to name a few

I don't think you really understand what Hulu is at all. It is the same shit as Netflix and Amazon but with higher quality content, second only to HBO. I am currently dating two different chicks and both are now signed into my Hulu and watch it frequently when I'm not even there

You aren't even addressing live sports and Netflix is fairly shady and prole. Hulu is even worse. What do you tell your guests while your program is loading and buffering?

I have a smart tv, Mr. Prole. That being said it is still gigaprole to load some app on your TV. I have done it once in front of a close friend after lots of drinking.

i dont think it's that dumb. as ratings becomes more and more fractioned and more and more people cut cords i think this is the inevitable outcome. yes incumbents and existing business models will resist this for a time. but that's not to say a la carte sports streaming is never going to happen. high speed streaming and reasonable means for piracy of sports broadcasting has only been around for a small amount of time. the cord cutting phenomenon has only been in full swing for a few years.

you sound like a contrarian for contrarianism's sake piece of shit gook fagboi.

It's 100% the model of the future. I just got YouTube TV last week and am blown away by how 180 it is, especially for sports

If your talking about a la cart for individual games that's a long way away for nba/nfl reg season

I felt this way for a long time about streaming sports. It sucks to rely on it and it never, ever, seems to work seamlessly. I also hated having to download/sign in to 80 different shitty apps.

YouTubeTV is a game changer. Picture perfect HD and 0 buffering. A true click to play experience. The integration with my Google home and pixel brings it to a true 180. I walked in the door tonight and said hey Google throw on the cheifs game bitch and it popped up and has been streaming perfectly since. ONLY downside is you don't get the quiet commercial breaks like you do with ESPN
