U can get lots of really good beatemups and fighting games on PC for dirt cheap on sites like Kinguin and then activate them on steam. SHMUPS too. I have a fuckton of them. Last weekend I got King of Fighters 13 for $2 and was shocked at how good it was. True, KUF14 is out but it traded sprites for polygons and looks like shit so the older game was preferable. Adventure mode is a good way to get the hang of things before you go online. Human players are completely different from AI but just take some time to "learn." Like anything remotely competitive, either practise a ton or be good or prepare to lose a lot. I'm just enjoying playing something online that isn't a fucking FPS or Starcraft or whatever. If it's the AI that's smoking you then just put it on easy or whatever. |
