Quadriplegic fulfills lifelong dream of making porn
By Michael Blaustein
Dreams really do come true — even for quadriplegics who want to make gay porn.
That is at least the case for Kenneth Connin, 27, who lost the use of his legs and the feeling in his arms from the biceps down when he suffered a spinal cord injury at 18 years old while competitive cheerleading, according to Gay Star News.
But the injury didn’t stop Connin, who says he always wanted to have sex on the internet, from filming his first gay porn scene with Pierce Paris, a veteran of the industry, for porn studio Himeros.
“Just because I’m injured and I have certain limitations, [it] doesn’t mean that I don’t still enjoy pleasure and I don’t still enjoy touch,” Connin told Davey Wavey in a YouTube interview. Wavey created Himeros in January 2018.
“Outside of my wheelchair, I’m just like everybody else,” Connin added.
Connin could not be happier with how things turned out in the scene, in which he performed oral sex on Paris.
“It was totally what I wanted. What I expected was to feel a little more awkward and a little more out of place but everyone here has done a great job at making sure I feel just like anyone else.”
The 27-year-old then went on to explain why he didn’t use a pseudonym for his debut.
“I’m proud of what I’m doing and who I am and I think everyone else should be too.”
“I hope that people understand from watching my scene [that] it’s OK to have sex whether you’re disabled or whether you’re not disabled. I want able-bodied people to know that just because someone has a disability, that doesn’t mean they no longer have a sex life.”
Followers and fans of Connin on social media have praised his bravery and honesty.
“It’s really amazing and it’s people like your forging pathways of sexual liberation for the rest of us! You are incredible!” one person wrote on Connin’s Instagram page, commenting on a post in which Connin announced his project.
“I just watched your interview on YouTube about the scene. Hell yeah, I love the way your [sic] continuing the conversation around the stigma. Go you!” another said.
