Chandler - How fucked am I going Solo without CSLG feeding me cases

I’ve got a couple firms who are willing to feed me some work although I’m sure it’s not as good as the cases CSLG is feeding the xo firm.
Also should have plenty of contract work from another couple firms but only want to do that while I get my PI practice off the ground.
In other words what percentage of your cases are coming directly from CSLG versus your own efforts? |

My biggest settlements have been cases sent by them, but the majority of money came from CSLG cases due to the fee sharing agreements with the other firm. I don’t recommend it if you’re lazy and looking for less work and pressure. I haven’t had a day off in 11 months and I’m completely burned out.
I do recommend it if you’re ambitious and motivated and want unlimited income potential.
But I’d never quit a “chill 200k 9-5” with good vacation time for this. |

I have some safety in that I will have plenty of hourly contract work to float me with a firm who will also send me some pi. I’m also going around town meeting all decent pi firms or catastrophic injury/wrongful death firms for lunch or whatever else and many have mentioned they’d send me cases as soon as I open up but I’m expecting those to be SPS at least initially and splitting fees on a 6k case isn’t ideal. |

But I’m definitely not limiting my area. At the risk of outing I’m originally from the central coast and am considering about getting a domain specific to that area and doing some marketing up there also. I have family in that area and know tons of ppl from growing up there. |
