I also massively regret getting married / staying married for so long with her in the first place, but I can never regret having my daughter. Looking back, there is no way I can just "stick it out" for the kid because the environment is so toxic for everyone. Would it better for my daughter if I never had her? Obviously not. So even though I can't give her the perfect family life of her waking up on Christmas morning to her parents together, I think she will still have a pretty happy life with two parents who love her dearly... My long term plan is really just to be extra nice to my ex so that eventually she'll let me spend more time with my daughter voluntarily, which I think may be better than an acrimonious court ordered dynamic.
