Also in LA, they bus in minorities to integrate the “rich” schools so living in a wealthy area doesn’t matter. Schools are also getting rid of gifted programs because they want everyone to be equal.
When you say their lives won’t be ruined if they attend a shittier school, that’s true when you’re talking elementary school, but after that, they will be beaten up by gangs, their lives may literally be ruined if they go a school that isn’t 10/10. |

Once you start getting to 55+ mins on the train, I think I'd rather be in Fairfield County.
You do pay more for taxes in So. Westchester per $1M of house, but then again you are a LOT closer to NYC. You just have to choose towns carefully. For example, Pelham is not a town I'd want to be in, for a variety of reasons, including some of the highest taxes in Westchester. |
