I gave mine a solid chunk of ribeye before I wacked it in the skull with a shovel. LJL at paying $300 for them to kill your dog when you have a perfectly good shovel in the backyard.

need more info. if she put it down because it was old and suffering then that’s pretty heartless. if she put it down because it was annoying to deal with and demanded too much of her attention then no sense throwing good money after bad i guess.

my catdood last year got sick, lost a ton of weight and at the end was barfing any food up. he was on my lap and i was petting him and i felt his spine. i looked at him and just said "buddy, buddy...i hope i find you dead tomorrow."

towards the end of his life i let him roam free during the day. he would mostly chase birds in the backyard and enjoy the sun. my wife called me and said "buddy is laying down in the backyard and not moving."

i went home and went straight to back and the flies were already circling. i shoo'd them off while kinda welping "oh buddy, buddy, what happened, buddy" over and over as i picked him up.

that night i snuck into a local forest and buried him under a nice bush off of a hiking trial i always take my daughter too. it's nice to know he's always right there.

Mine had fried chicken one night and a t bone one night and frozen yogurt the day of. By the time of the yogurt he was really suspicious.

That was tough. The vet did the doggie Valium thing first to chill him out so he wouldn’t panic, but it was almost too strong and he basically passed out early. I don’t think he knew I was there at the time of the administraition of the lethal injection. Be careful about that.

Sure miss that little dude, all whoofing and indignant.
