Yeah it’s anchored with lag bolts on each side. You can just see it on the left. This cage is flat footed as you can see but rogue sells hardware you can still use to bolt it down. If I had it to do over again I’d get one that was just meant to be bolted down.

dumbbells are the only shitty thing about having a home gym. having a whole set would be insanely expensive and cranking weights on and off is a yuge pain in the ass.

Not at all. You just pull out the pin and move it to whatever weight you want. Takes one second. Much faster then the bowflex ones. And to me they are built more solidly than the bowflex ones, and online people say the same

For most stuff it’s not a big deal. If I’m doing bar muscle ups or dips with the horns off one side or the other it’s good to have the stability. I’ve considered getting front spotter arms and you need to be bolted down to use those. It’s also just generally nice to have a little more stability and not have it slowly moving out of position.

Depends on if you want a gym or "fitness center."

The former doesn't require all that much. A nice rack, a multi-funtion bench (to avoid stand-alone quad & ham equipment), and something to accomodate high cable movements. You don't need fancy bars, plates, or dumbells, and low cable movements can be done with a barbell.

If working out is an integral/long-term part of your life, make sure to only buy commercial equipment.

I'm a huge proponent of the reverse hyper, so I always recommend one for every home gym.

Power Rack with pull-up bar

adjustable bench

Barbell and accompanying weights

adjustable dumbbells

Floor mats

Elliptical

Only additions I'd make are a reverse hyper and a glute ham raise setup.

Is a power rack the best for bench pressing? I’ll only do really light squats and I won’t deadlift at all. Do you recommend rogue for all of this shit?

Thoughts on this? https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-rm-3-fortis-rack

Yes and yes.

Power rack is great because it gives you more versatility (squats, OHP, bench, dead presses, pin presses), and because the height is way more adjustable to bench on, allowing you to bench with optimal positioning.
