I didn't think anything of it at the time--maybe he's searching for some scrap of leftover that had dribbled out of the bag on my way to the trash--but the next morning I went out to do my daily and there were tiny clawmarks on a book rack I keep out next to a rocking chair. The rack just has some classics in case some invited wants to wile away an hour or two in company, Leaves of Grass, Kippenhahn's Stellar Structure and Evolution, an OCT of the Res Gestae whatever.

The Sherlock in me gets inspired so I move in to inspect the evidence and I see clearly delineated coon prints all over the Kippenhahn text, not simply on the exterior of the book but over section headers, reference notes, key problems & solutions. Spontaneous Me is also rife with them. Nothing was torn, everything was placed just so, the act of leafing was evident. He'd been perusing the texts. I'm in a state now, "this can't be; could it be; this is impossible" spit flecked shouting at 5:30am I'm sure to the delight of our neighbors beset in their ordinary existence me as much as the rest of them and I lose my grip on the Leaves, flinging it to the floor to betray the last page of the text. And there it is, scrawled in black: "Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself. I am lotor."

Also had 2 videos of "teens" in hoodies trying the door handle on my car. They were very lucky I'm apparently a deep sleeper and the alert didn't wake me.
