Probably one, smartphone and computer has destroyed my ability to focus. I just chase dopa. I lack discipline.

I used to have this problem and it’s still a yuge struggle but it can be overcome

Start by deleting every single non-essential app on your phone. My only third party apps are Bank of America, Amazon, and Uber. Delete the browser even. (If I ever need a browser I just download chrome and then delete it when I’m done)

Next, turn off notifications for texts and emails. You can enable text notifications for certain people in case you need them for family or whatever

But seriously fuck this soyphone shit. And yes I wrote this on my fucking phone because I’m scrolling instead of studying math. Deleting Chrome now

40-50. Mostly non-fiction, but I'm trying to read more fiction.

Also, I recently found all my books from when I was in high school and college, so I may reread some of those, in which case it could be a lot more.

Don't set a number of books as your goal or you'll find yourself cutting corners. Just make a goal of 90 minutes or whatever per day

Cr. # of books is complete flame. I used to do this and couldn’t tell you a thing about 90% of the books I “read”

Now, for nonfiction, if a book is good, I read slowly and take notes and truly internalize the concepts... and if it sucks I stop

Yeah, I'd tend to read shorter or easier books just to make my autistic quota

Hard for me to give up on books once I start. Habit from when I was actually spending money on books.

That’s fair. Two years ago I read the Will Durant series and the 12 books took me 1.5 years.
