Besides fruit, are there other sources of "good" sugar?

are you insane?
honey >>> bigpharma
"In addition to important role of natural honey in the traditional medicine, during the past few decades, it was subjected to laboratory and clinical investigations by several research groups and it has found a place in modern medicine. Honey has been reported to have an inhibitory effect on around 60 species of bacteria, some species of fungi and viruses. Antioxidant capacity of honey is important in many disease conditions and is due to a wide range of compounds including phenolics, peptides, organic acids, enzymes, and Maillard reaction products. Honey has also been used in some gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, inflammatory and neoplastic states. This review covers the composition, physico-chemical properties and the most important uses of natural honey in human diseases."

Anything is fine in moderation
My problem with fruit is that it's regarded as being so supremely healthy that various preparations of "fruit" also have a halo of healthiness that is ultimately false. Fruit juices are SPS, canned fruits are SPS, etc. Sometimes it's sneaky as fuck too... Craisins aren't just dried cranberries in the same sense that raisins are dried grapes - Craisins actually have a fuckton of added sugar b/c cranberries are naturally far more bitter than people realize.
Even if you are sticking to whole fruits, they can still be a pretty lousy thing to include in your diet. If you're trying to lose weight (as most of the country should be trying to do), you really should be counting your calories. And counting calories is legit kind of hard to do with fruit unless you're autisticly weighing everything you eat. Do you *really* know the volume of grapes that constitutes 100 calories? Pineapple? Melon?
Fruit is just so inessential... most of the country would be far better off skipping fruits as much as possible and loading up on fiber from legumes until they are down to a sane weight.

they think it's healthy because it's a "whole food" or whatever bezos would call it.
they don't realize this stuff--gallons of orange juice, giant sugar apples, pineapples in winter in new york--isn't "natural" in any real sense.
nut butters are another one nobody talks about it. a few real walnuts are fine. but that doesn't mean scooping out of a giant jar of walnut butter is "natural."
but it takes hard work or a lot of money to avoid poison. seed oils, amerikkkan factory farm meat/dairy, etc. it's all bad.

You should eat minimal fruit and limit sugar intake to berries.
Many fruits are sugar bombs.
There is no good sugar just really bad and less bad Honey has some nominal health benefits, but they're by far outweighted by how poisonous sugar is.
