In one hostel I talked to Aussies, one of whom told me a bug crawled in his ear when he was growing up in Australia and it sort of nested in there and no one knew what he was complaining about as a kid because no one saw anything in there because it laid eggs and then flew out. He kept hearing this thump thump thump with pain in his ear and finally they realized that noise was his own heartbeat and they had to surgically extract the bug eggs while hatched baby bugs were burrowing in and eating the inside of his ear canal.

I also did rounds of drinks with Aussies at local pubs and just got shit faced.

I met a really nice girl from Holland who was working at one hostel in England and we did some sightseeing together. I was too shy to try anything on her.

I met a French dude in a hostel in Spain and we walked all around Barcelona and he would rummage through trashcans behind restaurants and pull out garbage and left-overs and eat from them.

I tried to fry some sausage in the kitchen of one once but I was a kid and didn't know you are supposed to use cooking oil--I thought the cooking oil would just magically come out of the sausage--and it didn't and I burned the whole thing and had to throw the hostel's frying pan out.

That's all. As I said, other people have better stories than me.

I returned to my hostel and walked in on two girls and one dude who had just checked in; this was a four-bed co-ed room. The girls were in their underwear as they were getting ready to go out to the bars. I think they were Italian, don't really remember. They were very nice and friendly and they invited me to go out with them. I wanted to go, but was exhausted from all the sun and in terrible pain and also embarrassed at how red I was. I told them as much and called it a night.

It took a while for me to go to sleep since just laying on the bed made my skin hurt, but eventually I dozed off only to be woken up by a lot of shushing noises and the smell of sweat and alcohol. My roommates were back and they apparently started a MFF in the bunk bed next to me. The hostel room wasn't very big, just big enough for two sets of twin bunk beds and a small area in-between them to stand up. I could hear and see and smell everything. I just lay there for what felt like an eternity. Eventually things died down between them and they went to sleep. Everyone woke up the next day and pretended nothing had happened. I left the hostel and Barcelona as fast as I could that morning.

Haven't stayed in hostels in like 10 years except in chinkistan cause they have private rooms with beds that aren't hard as furk and the reception at least speaks Engrish

The toilet never worked once. I had to shit in their bathroom in the lobby. They made you bring your own sheets down when you checked out, but I was like fuck that, and just left.

Anyway, late at night while sleeping I roll over and I notice he's pulled down the sheet and allah akbhar he was sleeping naked and gawd damn had a fucking GIGANTIC fucking chocobar, i mean it was like 15 inches. i wasnt gay back then so I was horrified but i still remember that fucking massive swarthy chocobar just hanging around in the bed next to me. Definitely the highlight of my Sweden visit.
