If you're going to be running more than one radio, or running radio comms in conjunction with an EUD that will be running its own network, get a dual comms capable model. The Comtac 3, 5, 6, and 7 are all great (the 4 is weird). Find a PTT adapter that will interface with the peltors and your radio of choice (anytone 878 is a great choice for tactical applications for a variety of reasons), and you're good to go. I like having two sets: one helmet mounted (I like the opscore amp arms) and one normal on a band, so I can run comms whether or not I've got kit and NODs on.
