Simply assigning sections to read overnight and having bland discussions about themes or imagery won't cut it. You need to spend lots of time on individual scenes; do close readings of passages; really get the kids engaged in the story.
With a good teacher you can have 10 year olds into Shakespeare. |

The syntax is just fancy, but so is the case with poetry. Its very good for the 95-115IQ brain to work around difficult diction and syntax.
