As a former D1 athlete who saw how well the college football players were coddled by the school AND getting money in every "creative yet legal" way possible that we (lowly track athletes, swimmers, even tennis etc) would never get, its ridiculous to argue that these guys are sacrificing anything to play CFB. They are gods on campus and given every opportunity to graduate that could possibly be given to them. Some of the dumber football dudes literally had paid note-takers show up to class with them to take notes and tutor them. |
