Like learning a foreign language, if you don't develop those skills early in life, it's very difficult to do it later. But he would've never made it as a midfielder. They need to train guys like Allen Iverson as soon as they can start walking.

our best soccer players could be benchwarming college defensive backs, mid-major point guards, whatever. wed have an elite team if our pool was limited to people who never made it pro in our major sports. |

Date: December 7th, 2022 1:13 AM Author: Ruddy balding bawdyhouse Pulisic was signed by Dortmund at 16 but was already a top prospect developed by American system. His dad was a pro indoor player in the USA and his mom played at GWU. He does have a Croatian passport which allowed him to sign at 16.
I think Weston spent a little time in Germany as a kid but generally also developed in the USA through FC Dallas.
Adams came up through NYRB. He grew up with his white mom and his white stepdad who was British and has played some highish level soccer back in Britain. Had a big influence on Adams.
Reyna of course is the son of one of USMNT’s most well-known players of all time. His mom also played for the USWNT.
Aaronson came up through Philadelphia Union. His younger brother did as well and just transferred to Germany. Younger brother will be better than older hopefully.
