A lot of agents were already heavily doing WFH even before the pandemic.

Revenue Agents were eligible to do 50% WFH. But they also have to do in-person appointments at the taxpayer's business or residence, and that chews up a lot of days that they would otherwise be in the office.

So they could do like 50% WFH, 40% field appointments, and only go to the office 2-3 times a month.

Again, that was the situation even before the pandemic. I bet there are some RAs that could count on one hand the number of times they've been in an IRS office since 2020.

Would be a super chill lifestyle if you lived in a scenic rural area.
