APFT was just push/sit and then go run. You could practice that anywhere without any assistnace.
ACFT is gay-ass crossfit. You have to actually train your body for the movements you'll be doing or else YOU WILL FUCKING HURT YOURSELF.
Then on top of all of that, you have to go do a 2 mile run with only a 10 minute break in between all other physical shit you did.
"Easier or harder"
Assuming you are a) Tall & b) have upper body strength, then the other events are not difficult. Unless you're a shortmo, who can't through a fucking medicine ball 6 feet or do planks for 1 minute.
The Spring Drag Carry is a motherfucker on women and shortmos. It's always funny to watch them struggle to complete the drag portion. |

Again, the general officers are largely untouchable. Milley has testified on the Afghanistan debacle twice since the pullout and it's been a non-event despite him being pilloried by Republicans both times.
Prior to that, Taguba and Miller testified about Abu Ghraib. Miller escaped unscathed despite significant evidence he lied. The closest they came to touching him was withholding his retirement until he testified, and that was only because he'd already been hung out to dry by all the brass above him, particularly in Taguba's report. After that, he retired with 2 star pay.
But let's look at all the scandals where GOs never got called to testify. In all of these, there was some incident that a JAG would have prevented if they were useful in the way you think. Instead, the scandal happened and there were basically no repercussions: • Abu Kemal raid. Illegal raid into Syria in 2007. They found out. Zero consequences. • 2007 AH64 gun runs that killed a bunch of civilians and two Reuters journofags. Footage was part of the Bradley Manning leaks, nothing fucking happened. • Gitmo homicide allegations. Bunch of allegations were made in the press and a book that guards had killed some detainees and ruled them suicides. DOD said "nope, they were suicides," and nothing happened.
But you know what did shake things up? When Vanessa Guillen got killed, her family went to the press about it, and the secretary of the Army fired 14 commanders and CSMs at various levels. JAG didn't do fucking shit to make those commanders do the right thing, JAG didn't save anybody's job (since that's all you understand, as a careerist parasite). Same thing with the Walter Reed scandal in the 2000s -- the press got involved, and then SECDEF started firing people. You know what JAG did? Not a fucking thing.
The military fixes things it sees as problems, and ignores the ones it doesn't. Congress cannot make the brass care, and JAG is fucking useless in all cases.
You're a fucking parasite that makes his living sabotaging and hamstringing the people who do any actual fighting. |
