expensive vacations to prole spots like disney world aren't normal because they have cheaper and much better alternatives right by them.

Ireland makes sense because of all the American companies that moved in over the last decade for tax reasons. All those companies have to be staffed up to get the tax benefits and Ireland only has so large of a labor pool, so makes sense the avg dude is rolling in $$$, though prices have skyrocketed. Dublin seems like London prices now except it mostly sucks as a city, feels like a giant tech corporate campus.
At any rate, Germans are big on cash/assets that can’t be easily tracked, so that might explain some of it. Other large part is obviously eastern Germany which is basically a separate country but counts statistically. |
