it's 95% diet. keep a low bf% and you'll look good with just about any routine that involves some resistance training.

let's start here.

- how long have you been working out?

- what is your current routine?

- so your body is currently just skinny fat?

it's going to be a very long process to develop anything closer to an aesthetic physique. maybe 10-15 years of consistent training and dieting. for now, the best you can hope for is probably maintaining a low body fat and slowly building muscle definition. I would increase cardio and begin some sort of resistance training regimen. I would avoid heavy weights

i don't ever expect to look like jk roher but i figure that i'm working from such a low baseline that i could achieve some minimal level of definition just by starting a basic and consistent routine. as long as i do so i figure i should optimize it for appearances.

just do starting starting strength and add in some beach muscle lifts like everyone does anyway along with cardio, ideally something with upper body resistance like rowing or swimming. you'll get noob gains right away and look a lot better.

from there you can decide whether you want to get frustrated and make lifting gains quicker and start bulking (losing the aesthetic reason you got into this) or progress very slowly by maintaining a diet that leaves you with a low bf%.

Ditch the clothes, head down to Pounder's, and put your time in as a training twink. You'll look like Yann Perrod in no time.
