Otoh the new taxonomy was set by the entire process that kicked off with WSGR in 97 and culminated in the NY to 160 salary scale raise in 2007 and then ITE, and the USNWR T6 and T14 were pretty stable through that period after Sexton and NYU gamed the ranking system. Wish Hazelrah was around to drop some scholarship on this. I remember in the 2007 period we had a pretty clear sense of firms’ grade cutoffs for all of the T14. Look at associate/partner breakdowns in the V10 if you don’t believe me (even after adjusting for class size at the best firms it’s always HLS -> CLS -> NYU). Other schools aren’t really in the conversation, not including YLS, SLS and UChi ofc due to selection issue. |

She had a fiduciary job at the law school and her job made her unpopular among 3Ls who needed their transcripts. As a result, some 3Ls did a terrible video parody of her at the school’s annnual talent show, and the university did not condemn the video, which involved kicking and burning her in effigy, as I recall. I could be wrong and don’t remember it clearly as I was under the weather for much of 1L. But the video did strike me as over the top.
He left right around the time of final exams, and was sort of shitty to us at that point, his 1L small group class. He didn’t show up for any study sessions and he even skipped collegial social stuff at that point too, I believe. And I think he called us dumb or words to that effect. |

Doing it in the village while you have artificially cheap housing and attend a grad school where you don’t really have to show up to your 12 hours a week of class and your entire grade comes from an exam at the end of the semester that you spend at most 2-3 weeks cramming for is very, very credited. There’s one very good reason to not attend NYU and that’s the insane cost. But I always thought the people who did law school best were the ones that leveraged their HLS admits to get $$$ from NYU.
