Arizona's supreme SCOTUS of Arizona ruled that a 19th century abortion ban was still valid, so it will ramp up focus on the issue ahead of the election

Trump also released his statement on abortion, basically that it was up to the states. It was honestly a reasonable statement but the pro-life people shit on him for it

Pro-lifers are generally not happy when GOP nominees say they’re pro-choice. Also, as a general rule, not usually huge fans of trannies. HTH.

Trump is also a voter in FL and will be asked incessantly until the election whether he’s voting against the ballot referendum to uphold DeSantis’ six week ban or if he’s voting for legal abortion in FL. It’s a lose-lose bc either he pisses off the Bible humpers or he validates and activates the pro-choice voters/groups who will run ads incessantly about him signing a national abortion ban. It’s a huge mess, and it will hurt him in every important state, not just AZ or FL.

All that said, it’s a coin flip. I do think he would be better off politically if he said “I won’t sign a national abortion ban” but that will never happen. He was smart and not say “I support a national 16 week ban” like they trial ballooned last month.
