They think lawsuits are very serious, especially when the judge starts out by telling them they are fulfilling their constitutional duty as American citizens, and how important their service is. They'll see him as being flippant, not taking the proceedings seriously, not understanding how "we do things in Texas, and in America," and hit him for tens of millions that the judge will have to reduce.
