She stayed in a family member's house for about seven years until she got kicked out, then said she was coming to my place for a "visit". I said she wasn't allowed to come over (I hate my mother for myriad, genuine reasons) and she came over anyways. She stayed in my apartment until she had repeatedly fell onto the floor just trying to go to the bathroom, then she suffered a pulmonary embolism.
She was put into a hospital, then placed into hospice care. She arrived in August of last year, and was in hospice a month later. She died a few hours ago.
Her last words to me were, "candy is dandy." |

We still get along but I have to keep her at some distance. She's not degenerate but she's borderline and has screwed up plenty in the past. I guess I'm lucky.
