Impossible with Manhattan jury pool.
Remember you need to be a citizen and non felon
Add in that the courthouse is all the way downtown and the non-MFH residents don’t show up.
And the finally the actual hardship cases like single mom with 4 kids who cleans offices or whatever get dismissed

My question on this case is - was there any reliance or even viewing of these "business records" that is being charged here?
Or is just that once you write the "fradulent" business records, that's a crime - even if it as just a private note you wrote for yourself?

The entire tying to the campaign charges is complete bullshit no matter how you slice it.
He legally donated $55 million to his own campaign. It's stupid to say he stole from the campaign and its stupid to call it a campaign expense.
That's why this is under this bullshit business records charge...

yeah I don't get this rule and don't necessarily agree with it, but it's spoken like Scripture
I've never been in a situation where I've actually had to decide whether to strike a lawyer or not.
The most common answer I've heard is that the remainder of the jury will just defer to whatever the lawyer says. But, a, I'm not sure that's true and, b, if it is true than it's probably true in every case and they're just as likely to latch on to what some vocal plumber or confident HR lady says and go with her.

the CW is that all the other jurors will defer to the lawyer(s), who are typically vocal, pretentious about being lawyers, and use jargon.
So you have reduced your jury from 12 to 1. Now the entire case rides on one person's determination, and that person is vastly more likely to be more technical, niggling, rule-obsessed, status-obsessed, and intelligence-signaling than the average person.
They could cut to either side, but the CW fear is that you've just placed the entire verdict in the hands of an asshole

I've been struck but I've also been on a jury once, kinda (alternate)
I was dismissed just before the deliberations, but I got to sit in the jury room all trial. will take qs about the experience
