The runes format sounds better because at least everything will be kept on-chain, but i'm still not a fan of this and it could harm bitcoin in the short term. It would be better to just make shitcoins on the many bitcoin layer2s popping up rather than potentially ruining the network for a while.
*and by "fucking everything up" i mean transactions that would normally cost 30 cents were over $100 due to inscription spam. don't even want to think about what btc fees could be like if this shit catches on |
