Date: April 17th, 2024 1:32 PM Author: razzle property giraffe The RPG7 (likely pictured) has a shaped-charge. The shaped charge hit the ammo carousel which the auto-loader for this tank model uses.
Mayn Western tanks also use blow-out panels which confine such explosions and attempt to redirect them outward. This tank has no such protection.
Not EFP, probably just leads to the fuze (used to bypass the ordinary trigger mechanism of the RPG). |

I know Russian doctrine is to have three guys per tank with an autoloader while American doctrine is four guys per tank with a human loader. I've read before that part of the reason we do that is to have an extra guy to assist in repair and overwatch while Russians want fewer personnel per tank and like the reliability of an autoloader. Catch is, you gotta store the ammo in an autoloader in a way that makes you blow your turret off if you get hit in the midsection, while Abrahms have blowout panels that save the crew and don't totally destroy the tank.
