All the HVAC, drywall repair, landscaping, maintenance of the driveway and grounds, maintenance of the dock, heating, cooling, insuring, taxes. I'd also say if you owned this house youd need a boat. And you'd need a couple of cars. And you'd need maybe a pool/sauna house built on the grounds. |

What I mean is you should be able to AFFORD a house like this. I still think it's probably better to live in a 1-BR apartment and have a gym membership unless you have kids and then you might want a SFH. Houses are incredibly stupid things to buy in my opinion, but they do serve a limited purpose (growing a family), but believe me, when that nest is empty it's time to downsize and go to a cheaper living situation. |
