We could never get spies like they had. One time we got this English dood to work for us, but he turned out to be a double agent for Russia.

Maybe that should have been an early warning. Who knows if UK intelligence was ever really that good? But even now it's all we have on Russia. The whole war has been run based primarily on assumptions about Russia that came from the UK. They're supposed to be smarter than us. They just are. That's just how people fucking think. Boris Johnson says "don't sign that treaty" and people just assume he knows wtf he's doing. |
