The events came to light around midnight on Saturday, the 27th of April, when firefighters alerted police that a truck had been discovered on fire in the roadway. There was great shock when three burned corpses were discovered in the pickup, identified as police corporals Sergio Arévalo (34), Misael Vidal (30), and sergeant Carlos Cisterna (43).
