It is reported from the ground that in the forestry area, on the southern approaches to Chasov Yar, in a small arms battle, Russian paratroopers encountered groups of mercenaries.

Ex-Pentagon official Stephen Bryan said that France secretly sent its military to Ukraine.
According to him, about 100 Foreign Legion soldiers from the 3rd French Infantry Regiment were stationed in Slavyansk to support the 54th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In total, according to Brian, it is planned to send about 1,500 French legionnaires to Ukraine.
