women are free to say "oh yes I would pick the bear" when you absolutely damn well know for sure they wouldn't. there is, of course, zero chance in the history of humanity that this kind of decision would ever actually come up. Extremely Online males can sperg out all they want about the risks and percentages, but the women can just smugly sit back and say, "ah yes. you simply don't understand women." they know no one will ever be able to call them out on it.
is there a technical term for this kind of rhetorical trick, where you are free to take a dumb position solely for signaling purposes, but you'll never have to face the consequences of actually making that decision.
